Freagh Cottage

Residency For Artists and Writers

Céad Míle Fáilte

Freagh Cottage sits serenely in a pasture, a hundred yards off the sea, with the Cliffs of Moher just across the bay. The cottage offers a rare opportunity to experience the heritage of County Clare's wild Atlantic Coast and surrounding farmlands. A living piece of Irish history with three foot thick stone walls, slab stone floors hauled in from Lisconner, and a wood burning stove sheltered inside an open fireplace.

Upon arrival, we recommend starting a fire, turning on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta, and settling in with a cup of tea.
